I was talking to my son when he was about 5 and he didnt agree with what i'd said so he replied ' Thats just a load of bumplecrump'!!! So thats the word i'd pick. Bumplecrump ; nonsense,rot,rubbish,twaddle.

I would have the word 'tuft' as a VERB. I think it should mean to pat an furry animal's fur without actually touching it's body. Cats HATE being tufted.
