No coach has been chosen yet by the BCCI, but the main two contenders are Graham Ford and John Emburry. Many senior players on the Indian squad, including captain Rahul Dravid and spin bowler Anil Kumble are supporting Graham Ford, and he looks like the frontrunner.
Graham Ford has coached a few teams, including a South African local team called the Natal Dolphins.

During the last meeting of the Committee appointed by BCCI toselectthe new Coach,they have short listed Graham Ford and John Emburry and have called both of them for giving presentationon 9th June, 2007
The decesion on the appointment of Coach will be known only after 9th June, 2007. However,indications are that Ford is the front runner for the job.

No decision has been taken by BCCi as to whether the term of Coach Greg Chappel is to be extended or a new coach is to be appointed. A decision in the matter is likely to be taken in the BCCI Meeting scheduled to be held on 6th and 7th April.

Nobody knows. Selection of a coach depends on lots of factors. Even there are differences in selection committee about the norms to be set for a coach. As usual going to be a trial and error method.

Graham ford without a doubt bcoz
1)He is dravids favourite
2)No other contender in race(except embury who does not hav a good coaching record)
3)Has experience

actually they havent decided yet.they have shortlisted two coaches graham ford and john emburey and the decision will be taken on june 9 for the final coach.

graham ford and john emburry are in the race and dav whatmore is out of it.
but its better to have an indian coach like kapil dev,srikant to handle the star players of india.

it does not matter. none of the ones left in the fray show any spine like chappel to call a spade a spade
