Lord, yes! Sometimes the air itself seems to recognise the echo of their form. Sometimes the gap created by their going is so substantial that it is almost (but not quite) larger than the space their presence fills up.

No I don't think so, absence does make the heart grow fonder but true physical absence can be torture, thankfully with the Internet and web cams, cell phones and other technology we can always be at least partially present with the ones we care for, that is an amazing gift we take to much for granted, our grand parent's had to rely on the printed word of letters mailed and that was still enough to make the heart leap with joy.

Well I guess if someone was a big presence in a room then they would leave a gap if they leave. Then I guess that gap can really seem like a presence....of sorts um get my drift

Oh you made me rack my brains because your question reminded me of some lyrics and for the last ten minutes I've been trying to remember what it was!!

Good question!! yes. I have been away from P&S for several days. My awesome friends kept me here with their concern and best wishes. I never "felt"disconnected. Love does build a bridge...susan m:)
