In my view, values could belong to one of the three categories: Constants, Trends, and, Contextuals! Constants are stout values, values for all times, all situations: Trends are for changing societies and times: and, Contextuals are dictated by the contexts! It's not neccesarily the amount of possessions you have, but rather the realiziation and appreciation of those things which you do have. So I think if you start out having very little, even as you grow to have more you can still be a good person.
