Hey everybody
I realise that im kind of taking a stab in the dark by putting forward my question but i didnt know what else to do!
Last year i was given a complete compass set by my great grandfather before he died and all i wanted to know was when and where it came from. The only markings it has are 'British made. Jay Wess series.' i tired searching on the internet with no luck, so i was just wondering if anyone had ever heard of 'jay wess series'???
thanks

I can see the issues here. I did a complete search on several related topics and came up with nothing. However, you might be able to go to an antiques dealer (and yes, there are indeed maritime antiques dealers in most major cities) and they would be able to tell you more.
