If the batsman hits the ball and it directly comes and hits the wicket and the bowler side and then before it drops, the bowler catches it. Is this a catch out?

its out !
By the Cricket rule, ball should not be pitched on the ground before a fielder catches it !

Its very simple ! dont confuse ! people often tend to do that !

Ifthe ball hits the wicket straight at the other bowlers end and then it is caught by the fielder the batsman will not be out. However, if the ball is deflected by any fielder to the stump and if the batsman at the bowler's end is out of the crease when the ball hit the stamp, the non-striker will be run out.

Yes - in the same way that it would be a catch if it bounced off a fielder.

Its out because the ball hasn't touched the ground before being caught.

No it is not a catch out.For example if the ball hits the gallary and comes directly to the catcher it can't be told caught out for sure.It is like like obstacle like the ground when ball drops in ground there is no hope for cught out.

I think the answer boils down to whether or not the non-striker has left his crease or not. If he has, the call would be hit wicket. If he hasn't, it would be a catch.

it is a catch in my book as long as it has not touch the ground.
