You live in the UK, is a Mormom up for new PM there?

As for polygamy, the Mormon church rejected that a long time ago, before Utah became a state.

But I can understand you not knowing that, living in the UK, I don't know every detail of your country's history, either.

I would vote for a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or any other religion if they support my values. I do not vote based on their religion.

I do like Mitt. I believe he's honest, moral, and that he's proven his leadership ability. He also looks presidential, which doens't affect my vote, but is a nice bonus.

As a side note: My husband met an Eastern European Olympic athlete a few months ago. He said he'd been to the last 3 winter Olympics and said that the SLC Olympics was "far and away the best." Mitt gets the credit for that.

Go Mitt 2008!

I would vote for A Mormon for president. Mitt Romney doesn't seem to be one that I would vote for, however. Most of the Mormons that I know have opinions and can explain them, unlike this guy. He seems to flow with the wind, and takes every position on every subject. It makes me uneasy.

Polygamy would be a bit of a negative for me, yes, if the person in question practiced it. But it isn't standard Mormon doctrine anymore anyway. Plus, you know we've only got to be a few years away from legalizing it anyway, right?

Yes I would if I felt this person is the most qualified. I would suggest you take the time to read Mitt Romney's Bio before you ask such questions. I have a question for you, are you as concerned about the other candidates religious affiliations as you are Mr. Romney's?

I will vote for the person whose standing on all the issues that I think are important, are the same as my own standing on those same issues. That is the only thing that matters in the least, to me. The only candidate that hits all my issue nails on the head 100% is Mike Gravel. So, Mike Gravel is the one I will support, at least until after the primaries.

My hope is that he will be our next president. Even if he does not get elected, I hope that he will, at least, strongly influence the party platform.

A persons religion is a personal choice and relationship. Whether the candidate is Mormon, Catholic, Muslim, Buddist, doesn't matter to me. What matters is whether their views on the priorities of this nation are the same (or close to) the priorities of mine.
