I think Total Trainings videos would be the best for a beginner. Someone I know had the CS2 video and I gave it a watch. It was really thorough and I found to be put together better then those Lynda.com ones. It had me entertained and I have been using Photoshop since the Monochrome days on a Mac Classic lol

Total Training for Adobe® Photoshop® CS2
http://www.totaltraining.com/prod/adobe/photoshopcs2.asp
Experience Level: Beginner Through Advanced
Running Time: 21.8 Hours, 3 DVDs (ROM)
Project Files: Included
$149.99

For someone learning.. it gets my two thumbs up

They have a CS3 (only 8hours long), and an Advanced video but I havent seen them so I wont comment.

I just did this a month ago. Go to their official web site and look up your "model".

You can down load it for free.
