Sometimes.
If you alienate yourself from others when people are trying to get you to attend parties or make simple conversation.
Some people like to be alone.
Some people do not know how to act around others.
I wouldn't call them weird, it is just their preference.

Absolutely not! It was Albert Einstein who said: "Solitude is painful when one is young, but delightful when one is more mature."

Many people are initially inclined to ask "well, whats normal?" In reality, being a 'loner' is nothing more than a characteristic trait of yours. Everyone is a loner to some degree or another. People can even change if they want to.

"I consider myself more of a loner now and I think when you get older, especially in this game, and just talking with other players who have come and gone, I see what they were saying when I was a young guy in the locker room. "
- Brett Favre

sure...it just means you are highly selective when it comes to whom you call 'friend.' If you feel lonely, or all alone, then it's time to do something about it. For example, get involved in something you like to do and the 'friends' will be made.....perhaps if you were involved in something you might get to know a lot of people also involved but you just might make one 'friend.'

If you are bothered by it, then it's not your nature and you need to get out, have fun, make friends, do things that you enjoy.
