okay so im conducting a poll for my project and i want to see who thinks what...what branch of government do u think has the most powers under the constitution!? you cant say "equal" because well you have to pick one. please explain why so i can get a sense of where ur viewpoint stands and use it in my data.

Today, the executive. Mainly because the Congress since FDR has given up its institutional responsibility of leading domestically. For some domestic legislation the courts. The courts filled the vaccum of power left by the Congress due to their poorly written laws.

If we go with orginal intent, the Congress was suppose to be the most powerful. It was the first one they wrote about (Article I), it is the one with the most detail. It was they branch most were familiar with.

I can say "equal." It's a free country and equal is the correct answer. The framers of the Constitution set it up that way, so one branch of government would not be more powerful than another.

El Presidente.

He can choose the Supreme Court, he can deploy military troops for short durations, and he can veto Congressional voting, who has to overturn with too high a percentage.

constitutionally, the legislative branch was meant by congress to have the most power. although u can't tell by the way they historically have behaved.
