im like you my hair didnt fry when i put it up all the way, and dont straighten your hair all the time you will get damage done for sure

I would not set it that high. Any high heat such as curling iron, hair dryer, etc. will cause some heat damage. Depending on how long your hair is you might want to try having someone iron it out. Place an old pillow case over your hair as it is ironed.
If you still decide to use the straightener, then I would suggest using a leave-in conditioner as you do it, so that it gives the hair some flexibility.

Any heat applied directly to the hair will damage it,the key is to apply quickly so not to damage the inner structure of the hair shaft..plus always use a conditioner after heat treatments,even a leave in one is cool..=)

Heat will damage your hair. You would be better off using thinner sections rather then going slower. It also helps if you use a flat iron lotion ( or some type of heat protectant ) on your hair prior to applying heat. Try not to use it everyday if you don't have to. Good Luck!!!!!!!

yes unfortuntly it wil.... but you can keep it at that degree if you put a silicone cream on your hair... will give your hair the protection it needs! good luck!
