You don't say which part of the Netherlands you are travelling from, but I am guessing you are travelling from the Amsterdam or Rotterdam area. If this is the case, then I can definitely recommend the area around Nijmegen (which itself is a very interesting city) . There are several camp sites in the area, and is very close to the German border. It's
a 'hilly' area, with absolutely loads of nature walks

As long as you're going from NW or NE Netherlands down to Germany, I would suggest looking into the Hoge Veluwe. It's a national park with some beautiful nature and lots of great biking and hiking...I'm not sure about camping there but you should check it out.

Friesland ! It is the province in the north, if you go from Amsterdam you will have to take a trip over the long dyke... You will LOVE it. Lots of air, beautiful skies, still lakes, silence, and o so many quaint towns. Many farms have small camping grounds, and the people are very open and friendly.

I was here last summer (link) for four days and it was a nice experience. The prices are not sky high and the location is fantastic - if you like the beach.
