Huard isn't going to start, in the NFL these days the hot commodity new QB always winds up starting after riding the bench a year. The fans want to see him, plus get real, Damon Huard?
As a Dolphins fan who saw his mediocre play in relief of Dan Marino in 1999, don't be fooled by last year's mirage--the offense still sputtered with him, despite his insanely disproportionate TD to INT ratio. He will not do well at all.

It'll be a training camp decision. They're splitting snaps 50-50 now that Green's gone. I was actually out watching the mini camp last week and Croyle looked pretty good. He had a few bad throws that would have been picked and 6, but overall he threw the ball really well. I think when it comes time to name a starter, the only way Huard gets the job is if he is heads and shoulders better than Croyle. If they are both playing at the same level, Croyle will definitely get the starting job.

As an Alabama fan, i obviously would like to see Croyle get chance. But on the other hand, Huard has the experience the Chiefs need if they are wanting to compete right away. Croyle had a lot of hype when he came to 'Bama and didn't really live up to expectations. I believe that if the Chiefs are willing to give Croyle a few junk games, he could be an NFL quarterback. He has the potential, just not too sure about his drive and dedication to improving every week. Huard is not going to be the quarterback of the future for K.C. But he is the best they have for now. Good luck to yall K.C.

Right now Croyle is in the driver's seat for the starter's job. It's his job to lose. Huard has a good shot at unseating him, but I think if Croyle makes it week 8 then he'll finish the season.

croyle. i saw him play at bama and he was great. i heard that he is gaining weight (he was about 6-2 200 last year). he has a better arm than huard. i think that huard was a one hit wonder. he won't be terrible as a backup, but he won't have an 11 to1 touchdown to interception ratio. brodie croyle is the future of the franchise. i think he'll have a decent year.

I think they'll go with Croyle. They've been looking to unleash him on the league and see what he can do, and now will be the perfect time for him to do it. Huard is a proven backup, but unfortunately for him I think his time has passed for him to be THE starting quarterback

Huard. He has always been a great quarterback even when he was a backup for Miami.
