If it moves and shouldn't -- use duct tape.
If it doesn't move and should -- use wd40.
This past weekend I was on the interstate when the seal around the front windshield started coming off. I used duct tape to hold it in place until I got home. After the seal was properly fixed in place, I used wd40 to clean up the mess the tape had left on the metal and the glass. LOL

people use it to try and hold some of their car parts together and that does not work and it is not safe.
