Ummmm, i know many people who are proudly heterosexual and not at all homophobic.
PS: Who is this directed to? I have yet to come across a heterophobic homosexual though :-P

First, what reason is there to be proud of being hetero or homo sexual? It's a state of being, not an accomplishment. Second, what defines being "outwardly hetero"? What defines heterosexuality outside of an attraction to the opposite gender? You seem to be tacking a stereotype of some kind to heterosexuals, a stereotype whose non-sexual preference-related activities draw criticism.

Well if it smells like ...you know the rest.
There are always people who want to blur the definitions that let us communicate. And if we can't communicate we can't co-exist very well. Simply put a homophobe is one who is afraid of homosexuals. If a person simply lives and doesn't consider homosexuals then they are not a homophobe. Some people would like you to believe that you must actively support homosexuals in order to escape the label of homophobe. They are wrong. That would make you a homophile. What you must do is what you are doing now. Insist on clarity in communication and reject all attempts to change the meaning of terms. Comunication is the first step to getting along. Anyone who hinders comunication no matter how much they think it helps their cause is a fool who is only prolonging hostility. But, unfortunatly we have a hell of a lot of fools.

Take a deep breath....
Shake the cobwebs out of your head....
What were you thinking when you wrote this? An attractive straight person isn't considered homophobic just because they look good and are proud of their sexuality. What conspiracy theory book are you reading to come up with that? By your logic an unattractive straight person can't be perceived as homophobic? Simply ridiculous.
A persons looks or sexual preference neer even come into my mind as to determining whether they are gay friendly. It is based on their actions and words.
It smells like you protest too much.....anything you want to come out about?

Sorry, did I miss something, when the hell did become bad to be outwardly straight?
Do you ever walk down the street? Watch TV? Do you ever step outside your front doorstep?
being 'outwardly' heterosexual would never be considered wrong from any of the gay people i know. They are accepting and understanding, you question reeks of macho guy stupidity.

My buddy Kenny is strictly heterosexual, he is a real cowboy, a hunk, and IS NOT homophobic. He has absolutely no issues with gays. He was taught to treat others the way he wants to be treated, with kindness and respect. He doesn't see people as gay or straight, he sees it as love for love itself. Now, why is it automatically assumed that all gay men are HIV positive? Answer that one for me Versailles.

It is not automatically assumed that attractive/proud straights are anti-gay.
It is only if they open their mouths and start slighting gays, or make rude gestures that it is known they are anti-gay.
