No, the water will become the same temperature as the room itself. You need a portable room cooler.

If you place water that flows, like a fountain then the evaporative effect will make it feel cooler. But, if you just place water in a dish or something the temperature won't change and it will be warmer at night as well due to the heat releasing from the water. Of course for any of this to take affect requires a good amount of water.

Humidity will not cool the room. Water in no shape or form will do this,unless the water itself is circulated through a cooler.

I think it would make the room feel cooler. Why not put a few bowls of water in different parts of the room? You could put floating candles or flower heads in the bowls for decoration!

Umm no. Shut the shades and curtains less light in means less heat in. You could try to run a cool mist humidifier not sure if it would work or not. Keep the room as dark as possible
