In some counties around the world, people can't even be bothered to learn how to speak English. Isn't that crazy?

i dont think so. other people might not be interested in English and that is their choice. i think that you are suffering from english superirioty. its absoulute normal not to know english. english need not be learnt throughout the whole world. after reading you crazy question, i prefer learning tribe language!

It's only retarded in countries where they are actually forced to learn English.

I think we should be required to learn a foreign language (conversational) in school like the European and Polynesian countries. Why be so ethnocentric as to not understand our contemporaries?

it ain't really crazy, my dear...look at Japan, they don't bother to speak English because they don't need it....all they need is their technological geniuses to compete in the world market.

so i guess if your non-english speaking country kisses an english speaking country's *** to survive, then you are required to learn the language.....
