Okay, this is weird but here goes. Have you ever seen a shadow that could not be accounted for? How about seeing the movement of a shadow that could not be accounted for? I'm very serious about this. I don't use drugs, so I know that I'm not tripping. I keep seeing weird things in my bedroom at night. Shadows where there shouldn't be, moving shadows and flashes of light that I cannot explain.

This happens when I am wide awake. I'm telling you that this has happened to me before in others places. It scared me enough that I hid under my covers and chanted "Satan, get out of my garden" over and over. It seems that once they KNOW you can see them, you see them even more. I laid down to sleep tonight and I swear on everything I love, that something passed in front of my eyes seconds after I had closed them.

ok ... I am normally a skeptic, but yes I have experienced seeing an unexplainable shadow .. only once.

I worked nightshift (not the graveyard shift) in a very old factory. The tea room was a room upstairs that looked down upon the factory floor.. there was a wide hallway thing that was well lit. One night I looked up from the floor towards the kitchen and saw a *shadow* that didn't touch the floor and it swooped from the tea-room through the hallway and vanished. I ran up the stairs to see what it was ... and there was nobody or anything up there that could have created such a thing.

I mentioned it to the other girls I worked with on our tea-break and one of them who had been at the factory said that she too had once seen a shadow ... only when she saw it , it actually swoop down from the ceiling and *through* her...
Now I can not say that she didn't make it up .. I can only tell you that I did not imagine what I saw and nor am I making it up..... Do i have any idea what it was, No? Was I frightened ? No because I didn't know what it was,

I never saw it again, but the place was a horrible place to work ( not because of the swooping shadows but because management treated staff with little respect) and I didn't stay long.

I hope your shadows leave you alone if you are frightened by them .. I don't know if your shadows are like the one I saw

Yes. I've heard of these. They are a special kind of ghost that some people call "shadow people" I don't know what exactly they are but you could probably google it and find out. I have seen these before too.

It's been a while but when I was a kid, there was a shadow in my bedroom that would take the form of a cat. We didn't own any pets and it was only once in a while that this cat would show up, in a dark room. But it was a shadow in the shape of a cat, not an actual cat.

It freaked me out but my mother always said I was dreaming (no, I wasn't, I'm 30 years old and still remember that "cat" to this day).

I've seen shadows and movements that I couldn't explain, but usually it was one of two things -- either an illusion, or an entity of some kind.

If you can't explain it, you should try lookinng it up. I don't know very much about this particular phenomenon but there must be many who do.

Also, where you said that it seems like they appear more because they know you can see them -- it is more likely that you see them more because you know you can. This is the pattern that many things, paranormal or not, tend to follow. You might have noticed that when you think something like, "there are a lot of red cars driving around today," you'll suddenly start noticing more red cars than ever. So I don't think there are more shadows -- I think you are just able to see them better, or that you are more aware of them.

I have been an investigator of the paranormal for many years never seen a shadow person or shadow image hurt anyone. If these shadows have not harmed you chances are they are not going to start. keep in mind that a blanket between you and what you are hiding from isn't going to stop something out to hurt you. So you should understand that your safe. Take control of the situation and try to capture these things on film if you can. If you can't seem to shake the fear you can find a priest to come by and bless your house in most cases this has helped.

It happened at my old house and i thought it was because my brain and eyes were playing tricks on me.
But then one day a friend came over and said, "You told me you lived with your sisters, how come i saw a man walking into your room?"
And another time another friend slept in the same room as me and she said when she looked under the door, she saw shadows of people walking. Many people, when they walk, she can hear some tinkling sound. It was freaky, cos at that time, no one else was at home.
Thank God, i've moved out! I have goosebumps even writing about it!

A time or two I was intrigued by a shadow that appeared which didn't have any apparent cause. Being the inquisitive sort, I investigated until I found the cause, which was completely natural. Sometimes it's not easy to spot it. Don't worry, it wasn't anything spooky I'm sure, just a trick of light.

Frequently incandescent electric light bulb filaments will flicker back and forth and cause changes in intensity and frequency. You may also have an issue with your vision which is a pretty common ailment. Aside from that, some people are sensitive to some of the unexplained phenomena that are referred to as ghosts. Some don't believe in that, probably because they are not sensitive, but those who are sensitive REALLY do. The place I live in has something that likes to slap me in my foot on occasion. It isn't a muscle twitch as there is no opposing reaction, and one can tell if one has a twitch or if one gets bumped or slapped. Then their are those that claim to see the invisible flying rods, supposedly debunked, but others don't believe.
For whatever the cause, you should not feel fear because you are safe, you should focus on it and figure out what it is.

I can image that experiencing any paranormal things can become scarily if you do not understand what is happening.

I have heard people on Coast to Coast AM radio talk about "Shadow people", so here is the link to the show.
Also, a link to shadow people research blog.

Also I have read about "Jinns", which people call shadow people.

So, I hope that my sources are helpful for you, and just to let you know that you are not along, I live in a city, which have many reports on paranormal things, and I have seen them as well, if you would like to read my story and other people stories, just click my link.

I hope all goes well for you in your research.
