You're working overtime and it's late in the evening. You are alone in an elevator going down to ground floor. Halfway, the elevator stops & a villianeus-looking man enter & pushed the closed button. What are u gonna do? Are you scared?

I'd say make eye contact. Don't show your nervousness. I think perpetrators sense when you are feared. They think it's a sign of weakness and increases their chances of overpowering you. If you show confidence, they would be more likely to leave you alone. My thoughts at least.

Yes, I would be scared. I'm frightened when I'm in the elevator with lots of people.
I was listening to something on TV a few months ago and they were saying in situations like that to stand very close to the side where the buttons are in case you have to press for help and also it may be a good idea to keep your cellphone on just in case.(if you can get service)
If you ever find yourself in this situation, try to be very careful and PRAY.

I'd be nervous but on guard. I'm a paranoid person so in times like that I'm always aware that something could happen so I try to get myself ready. Even though if something were to happen you probably can't think straight, but I will definitely be ready to fight back.

I'd be creeped out for sure. I would pull out my keys and hold one imbetween my fingers in case he decided to attack, at least then I could poke his eyes out and try to escape. I would also try to make phone calls on my cell phone so if anything happened, someone would hear me and be able to get help. Other than that, I'd stare straight ahead and try to stay calm, hoping that I'm just being paranoid.

Yeah, guess I would be scared. I usually keep my car keys at hand. Just in case in need to help myself out of a .... situation.

Yeah. Petrified, considering that I am soo hot and everything he might want to rape me. So I put my hand in my purse and find my mace or gun (or other self protection device) and get ready to use it just in case the wierdo tries anything.

I'd be ready with my pepper spray in case he attacks me. I'd get scared but I don't want myself to be harmed by that person so I think that I must be alert and try to be confident.
