Well done that german journalist for asking THE $64000 question in a public interview, when the parents of missing Madeline were asked if they had any involvement in this abduction.

Am I the only one though to admit this question was on my mind?

Were you satisfied with the response?

This false question has been asked 100s of times and it is part of a hate campaign , it should be immediately deleted according to your guidelines. UNQUOTE YOURSELF.

First, as you have so proved, EVERYONE, including you have the right to free speech here... not every country is lucky in this respect !

Secondly, given the number of responses my question has received it appears to have been a question on EVERYONE'S mind, but due to us being deluged under today's PC waffle, THE ONE QUESTION THAT THE PUBLIC OBVIOUSLY NEEDED TO HEAR AN ANSWER TO, was not asked.. !!!

For the benefit of piltman -

I have no agenda behind my question, other than I was delighted the most obvious question has now been asked of these parents in public.

People are free to make up thier own minds.

THE MAIN THING is finding the child so wind your neck in piltman.

You were allowed your freedom of speech to report my question as "abuse", now have the decency to allow other people to express thier thoughts on this question.

I have decided to let the Community answer this question ppl.

I asked the same question in another category and piltman reported my question as abuse of the yahoo guidlines stating my question was "false and part of a hate campaign" again the McCanns ho-hum !!

This person made NO MENTION of the missing child and what SHE must have gone through that night whilst her parents were out. ho-hum !

Have to say I think they are a bit blinkered to the amount of people who think it......everyone I have spoken to about it say it has crossed their mind!

get them back to the UK to face the consequences.

Not that long ago a child was snatched from a bath whilst her 'single parent' mother was in the next room drying the other child. And YES, she was investigated by Social Services. It would seem that a pair of doctors are being treated totally different to Mr or Mrs Working Class

It will be difficult for them to return to the UK though at this moment in time...I believe the weather is lovely in Portugal...so maybe when it gets cooler and they have visited all the countries they have always wanted to visit, then maybe they will come home and face the consequences.

final thought.....these people will have left those children on their own in this counrty before without a shadow of doubt. When you go on holiday, you dont change your views on what is right and what is wrong, so it begs the question, just how many times have those 3 babies been left alone....

Yes and yes - I think its to be expected to be asked difficult questions if no one else has bothered and yes I think the response was fine.

They seemed genuinely surprised and I guess they are not aware of the negative feelings a sizeable portion of the general public feel about their words and actions. I think they need the wake up call as still going around saying it was fine to leave the kids and justify it is just daft. Everyone knows its not ok and people are sick of hearing them say its ok. If the press support this position, then they can't have a go at single mothers who leave their kids alone to go off and do more critical things like work, rather than just to get p*ssed.

I dont think, nor have I ever thought, they had anything to do with the child's abduction.

This is SPAM and it is part of a hate campaign , it should be immediately deleted according to Yahoo Answers guidelines.

Over 800 pointless garbage "questions" make it a hate campaign, some are libellous and snide you even laugh at the McCanns.

You hate campaign members need medical attention.

You do not defend free speech at all, all you wish to do is hurt this tragic family who are hurt already to the core over a lost child. You really amaze me, I have never seen this in the UK before

I agree with you. They seem very calm about the whole thing. It's been blown up into an 'abduction' case, when no one actually has any proof that she was abducted. If I was a four year old child, and I woke to find my parents weren't there, I'd kick up a right fuss, or being young I'd leave to try and find them. Also, if her abductor had no intention of killing her, then why wouldn't he take one of the younger children that wouldn't remember. Or maybe he tried, and Maddy cried and shouted so in a panic he took her instead. Really, anything could have happened. I think the parents were irresponsible for leaving their children ALONE for a period of time in a foreign country, and they're trying to cover it up by saying she was abducted.

And there's a hefty reward!

No, you're not. There are other witchhunters about.
For those who think they're enjoying their "celebrity status", methinks it would have been a darn sight easier for them to slink back home where they could face the charges & cry & live with their regrets for the end of their days rather than face an accusing world media in a desperate attempt to right their wrong & get their baby back. To me, it takes a lot of courage to do what they are doing.
Theres a difference between fame & notoriety, you know.
No matter how they responded, the mob will find fault with them. I've realised that.

I understand that, in 95% of child abuse or murder cases a member of the family is involved, so of course this thought will cross most peoples' minds. I have no idea whether they are involved but the fact remains that they are guilty of negligence. Another aspect of this case is that there are conflicting stories about how often the McCanns checked their children; this question has not been addressed.

I don't think they had anything to do with it - no way not in a million years!!
1. Why would they get rid of one child and none of the others?
2. They were out with friends so how would they have had time to do whatever u think it is they have done with her?
3. What would they gain out of this?
4. They would be the most hated people in Britian if they got caught- worse than the likes of Myra Hyndley - why would they want that?

This question along with many others has been on my mind for weeks now. Hell I even published a list of questions I would like to see them answer lol.

I think there response was typically defensive, and typically naive in the way they seem to believe that only a small number of people dont think they are the ideal parents. Note the way she said 'very very responsible parents'.

Uh-huh Kate, thats why youre looking for your daughter hey?

Yes it was a great question. Hopefully more like that will follow. I don't think anyone will actually know the full story of what happened to maddie that awful night.

The three children were had by IVF. After longing for children and going to great lengths to have them, why would they get rid of one? It's ludicrous to think such nonsense.
