Nightmares are just a product of your own fear. Because you spend your time afraid of too many things. It comes out subconsciously in your dreams.
I cannot remember the last time I had a nightmare. The reason? Because I have pretty much run out of things in my life to be afraid of.

i've never had nightmares up until i moved in with my mom, but i only have them once in a great while and they're scary as all h*ll, i actually wake up sweating

You do not get nightmares, you have them. If you have a high level of stress and or are just worried you are proned to have them. It is called a conscious...

Yes, there was even this one time that I woke up with my hands on my shoulders and woah! I was in pain that's when I realized I scratched myself...yep it was gross but thank God It never happened again!

yes my dreams are so bad I don't sleep because of them my psychology teacher thinks i have them because of depression but I don't feel depressed but she said you can be and not know it.
