The smoking ban comes in to effect next month in England. Adverts on TV are now telling us we can't get drunk in pubs and bars anymore.

So, we can't smoke or drink in pubs. What, exactly, is the point of going again?

Being more discreet maybe. Smoking and drinking aren't publicly allowed. Maybe they think there'll be less danger to other people that way. But they didn't ban smoking and drinking privately. Now that's all right. I don't recommend it though.
