What you need is:
1.Some old books that you are no longer reading
2.Some white paper or blotting paper
3.And some white paper towels.

Take the books and set them in area with good air circulation where they cannot be disturbed for sometime. Next place two sheets of the blotting paper and two sheet of the white paper on the top of the bottom book. Then place the plant that you want pressed. On top of that add two more paper towels, followed by two more sheet of white paper. Then add another heavy book on top of that. You may have add more than one book on top. You can keep adding layers on top of one another; just don't stack them too high. And be sure to check the every few days for any mold growth (if that happens throw them out). This is just one way (a very old way at that) that you can press plants.

Just put the flowers or leaves carefully in an old, heavy book, and let dry for about a week. This won't work on super-thick plants or leaves, but is fine for things like pansies, clover, yarrow, etc.

Putting sheets of paper between the plants and the pages will keep your book from getting smeared.

For drying plants, (leaves etc.)try putting them between two pieces of wax paper, and stacking books, or any other heavy objects on them.
