How did India overcome the problem of over population and un employment?

I'm not sure they did overcome the problem. I know that back in the 1980's there was a scheme which awarded any man who underwent a vasectomy a transistor radio. As this gave them a way to follow the cricket I think it was quite successful. A lot of countries now outsource work to India as it is cheaper. A lot of telemarketers and phone help desk workers are now Indian but I think a growing local economy would have more to with the unemployment rate in a country with such a large population.

India is a lot more flexible and stronger than we give it credit for. You will see as countries rise and fall around it, India will always remain India. That's the way the country has always been.

In many states in the USA, the unemployment rates are hitting record highs too and it has nothing to do with the number of children being born.

Do the women in the rest of the world all come out onto the beaches during a certain season and lay their eggs in the sand?

By all standards, India has NOT overcome the problem of over population and unemployment.

But with positive mindset of indian people, India will definitely solve these riddles, I feel.
