Value systems do not change markedly in one generation but styling or peripherals do.I have full faith in the present generation as far as the value system is concerned but their presentation may be slightly different.

This generation you do mean people born between 1937 and 1950. We where brought up to respect our parents and we did what we were told. We care from homes that where allowed to spank their children and not cry wolf all the time. We learned how to handle money and not throw it away on booze and drugs.
Yes we have better values then past generations and we are better then the punks that are now trying to run this country. They have their head so far up their behinds they can't see the sun shining anymore...

People used to have high standards Adultery for example was big today this word lost it meaning .values became questionable and people started to loose common sense.
U hear advices like( if U r not ready for this baby offer it for adoption ) as if it was piece of junk with no feelings. You cannot say God these days without someone getting angry!

YES. i think it's for the better and the worse. in asian culture where tradition is valued at a high standard, it is somewhat diminishing because of today's society. i think that asians today are more americanized than ever and have values completely different from their parents and other elders.

on the other hand, it doesn't mean that we don't have values; it's just we value different things in life compared to other people. we still care about our culture and value, but not at the same level as what your parents my want you to. then again, parents and grandparents even have to realize that society is everchanging and that they can't change it.
