A martyr is a person who sacrifices themselves in furtherance of an ideal. Religious martyrs are usually people who were killed for professing a faith.

But the way your friend is using it, she probably means that you're making yourself out to BE a martyr -- in other words, overdramatizing negative events in your life, or making it out like the sacrifices you've made have been excessive or one-sided.

Being a martyr means sacrificing yourself for a cause. In an argument we say:"Don't be such a martyr" which basically means "Don't try to take the blame just to win the argument or impress me"

Basically speaking, Your friend is telling You that You feel as if You are carrying the burden for everyone else's doings on Your shoulders. That You take things far too seriously.

She means you're trying to take everything on on your own, without help.
