First, all the steroid allegations. Next, everyone accusing Barry of cheating (while he did nothing illegal in the MLB). Yes he took something, but no positive tests, no evidence to show what it was! Or how about the Yankees payroll more than doubling about half the league? Come on people, we need a change. THe only way we will change is if the Yankees win the World series every year, then poeple will sit back and say, hey wait, thats not fair...they'r spending more than eveyrone else..ANYONE AGREE????

Since the Yankees are not winning every year why do we need to change? Maybe Steinbrenner will come to realize he can put a competitive team on the field for a $100 million a year less. Baseball is such a wonderful game that it always seems the best teams win every year and not necessarily the teams with the highest payroll. With regards to the steroid issue, every sport has to deal with it and fix the problem, not just baseball. I agree with you that issues have to be addressed and corrected, but that will always be the case and the game of baseball is bigger than all the issues that comes it's way. You bring up some good points but I don't believe baseball is a mess and it will continue to grow as it has since it's inception.

No.
The Year of the players strike was a mess. This is nothing.
A few players are accused of being on the juice, but with the testing that they are starting to put in place it will change. You can't really do anything about past abuse, they will filter themselves out of the MLB.

Barry will have an * next to his record. If he wants to come clean he can, but he already said he took a substance from his trainer but didn't know it was illegal.

The biggest payroll doesn't equal the best team. If so the Yankees wouldn't have lost these past years. Not everyone has a price either.
However if you want to limit how much a team spends on players, your probably also gonna indirectly decrease players salaries.

"no evidence to show what it was!!!" - just so happens that his personal trainer LOVES to just sit in jail. He'd rather sit there and rot than tell the truth to a grand jury. Wonder why that is?!

Bad shape? Kind of. Better than the NBA? For sure.
