I think James Dean only acted in three films before he died, Rebel Without A Cause, Giant, and my personal favorite East Of Eden. I think he was an incredible actor, and one of the very best there has been. But how is it possible for someone who only did three films, to still be very famous today?

The movie industry at that time had no real stars like James Dean who had that x factor of attracting ppl from all walks of life...he would have been a mega star in today's terms ♥

It is amazing, especially since only East of Eden was released by the time he died. He had been in quite a lot of television movies and he did a few plays as well. That probably helped to get him noticed. But the only explanation I can give for it, is that he had an incredible gift / talent ... There hasn't been anyone like that ever since.

He did a lot of stage and television before those 3 films. He was just very gifted and he certainly was terrific looking.
He was nominated twice for an Oscar and only made those 3 movies.
There was another gifted actor who died too young but he didn't become as famous. His name was Pete Duel.
