3 dudes stay at a hotel
the bill is 30$
so they split the bill evenly, 10 each
the cable isnt working on this night
so the hotel refunds them 5 dollars
the bellhop runs it up to them
since 5 cant be divided evenly between 3 guys
they each take a dollar and give the bellhop the remaining 2 dollars
since they each got a dollar back
they really only paid 9 dollars
there was 3 of them
9 times 3 is 27
they gave the bellhop 2
thats only 29
where is the other dollar?

ahaha, please answer this for me

There is no other dollar: 30-5 is 25. 3 of the 5 went to the boys, which is $28 and the other 2 went to the bell hop, which is the whole $30. You need to count back from $27 to account for the whole $5, not forward.

Questions like this are really silly. The three "dudes" actually paid a total of $28, because $30 - $2 = $28, or 9 and 1/3 dollars, not $9 each. The bellhop kept the remainder, making the total $30, not $29.
