It's because the "punk" style used to rock back in the 90's and you know how lately we have been pulling out fashions from the past and recycling it? Like the leggings, retro colors, skinny jeans... Well they are just recycling the 90's look. But back then it was more hardcore with no girly stuff that they have now. Lately there have been punk rock bands that debuted and attracted many teen girls, so teens are adding their girly style with the punky style, creating what you call "pink-girlie punk."

acctully, not a lot of people are emo, most of the people now are "scene" a kinda formish of emo and punk mixed together. thats what everyone is now, but i mean w/e. why do u care. be what you wanna be, dont worry about what other people are.

because now days all this so called punk music is a cheap corporate rip off of what was being done in the 80's, and now being the social outcast is the "new" in thing......

Well it depends on what you call fashion. I don't really care for that type look myself. But most of the younger generation thinks it looks cool.

we are just cool like that. emo is easy- long hair, and the rest is up to you. hardcore emos are a different story.

well it depends on what you think 'fashion' is. in my book some of it is a little old. i think we should all have our own style.
