I TRY to speak my mind, but not to everyone. Do not give a negative reaction about every little thing. I look at the consequences before i let myself go. There is a point that a person has to build up before i go off. I don't silently burn but try to find outlets - my way is dance.

It is ALWAYS worth saying something. Some of the greatest atrocities against man have happened because no one stepped up and said "that's not acceptable." There are WAYS to speak your mind very clearly though, without having to intentionally alienate the other person. So yes, I always speak my mind. No one will ever have a doubt about where I stand about anything. But I am not mean or malicious when I do it. One of my favourite sayings is, "You may not always like what I say, but you'll know where to stand. Next to me or across the line."

I do both as well. Sometimes though, if I've been in a slow burn long enough, I speak my mind, and absolutely no one has any doubt about where I stand on an issue.

It depends on who I am speaking it to. Most of the time I try to speak my mind but do so in a kind way. I don't need more enemies. But sometimes it is better if I just keep my mouth shut and let it go...

Usually, I have imaginary conversations in my head- or in an email.
I'm not trying to be funny, I'm serious- for example...I wrote my ex husband an email - in Spanish (he has too much trouble with English) and his wife responded asking me what one of the words was, so I pushed "reply" and gave her a piece of my mind. Then, I pushed delete. I don't want the hassle later.

Unfortunately, I'm just learning how to project my negative thoughts into cyberspace- it's cost me a LOT of legal fees (fighting with the ex)

I tend to speak my mind, because in the words of Godsmack "In finding balance between lies and the truth, there will never be a better way than to speak the truth, or make your peace in some other way"

I usually evaluate the situation first and see if it's worth wasting my breath over and it's usually not... I speak my mind on the important things though!
