The Calgary Flames
in 2002 Carolina lost in the cup finals...2006 they won
in 2003 Anaheim lost in the cup finals....2007 they won
in 2004 Calgary lost in the cup finals...
This guess is as good as any right now. :P

The Dead Things do not have a chance. The winner will come from the East. From a little towwn I call home.
THE PITTSBURGH PENGUINS.
provided that they resign Gary Roberts, and Mark Recchi. They do need to upgrade their D'. In the Ottawa series, Sid was getting beat around, I would have changed the lines, and it would have been
Roberts Crosby Rutuu
Armstrong Malkin Recchi
Christiansen Staal Laroque
Ekman Talbot Petrovicky
Yeah, I know some are out of their natural position, but that would have been some bang em up hockey!!
Next year, Sid Hoists the CUP!!!

The Detroit pink Wings are going to win the Stanley Cup this year. With Datsyuk, Zetterberg, and Hossa we can be unstoppable. Osgood gets warm interior the playoffs like he did final year, if no longer we've Conklin who has had a stable year this year. And we could have veteran gamers step up like they constantly do like Lidstrom, Chelios, McCarty, Draper, Maltby and so on. interior the finals it is going to be Detroit and Washington. Detroit in 6.

I hope it is the Sens in 2008. They worked so hard and then were badly out-performed in the last series. They are a great charatable club with an extremely loyal fan base (but not a loyal media base) and it would be so good for Ottawa, surrounding areas and for minor hockey in the area.
I'm just feeling feeling really bad for Ottawa right now because I love the Sens.
I am happy however for Teemu Selanni as he seems to be such a great person and seeing his tears of joy made our loss not quite so bad.
Congrats Teemu from a Diehard Sens fan, you deserve it this year.

I'd love to say my team, the Buffalo Sabres. However, with the situation with Drury and Briere, as well as Vanek being a restricted free agent, it doesn't look good. Anaheim showed that "cutesy" plays and fast skating (like the Sabres and the Sen's play) doesn't win Stanley Cups, it's forechecking, backchecking, hard hitting, digging in the corners, etc. that wins Cups. I can think of several Sabres that I'd like to see in another uniform next season, and that we pick up a couple of bangers, and at least one crybaby bad boy (think Matt Barnaby is still available??)

Ask me after the free agent chase concludes. One thing I do believe is that the Kings are going to open up their checkbooks to get a competitive product on the ice.
The Ducks winning it all in their 13th season has to be a gutshot to the ownership, management and fans of the other SoCal team.

I have to think the ducks are frontrunners. Their questions are Giguere and Selanne. I think Bryzgalov can be a suitable replacement and the ducks can pick up another scorer if Selanne is gone.
