Laptops offer portability. Desktops can offer more internal space. Laptops have annoying touch pads, but you can get a mouse for them. Also, Laptops use less power, so they are eco friendly. Desktops are a bit bulky, but since you are not carting them around, they tend to last longer. You can also add new hardware to your desktop with ease...were a laptop can be harder to do so. Laptops batteries can stink, so you may need to buy am extra one. But with Desktops, you don't have to worry about that as they run off the power from you socket. Both have their ups and downs. Personally, I love my laptop and wouldn't change it for the world. But is also depends on what you need the computer for. I use mine for music and school. A desktop is best for multiple uses as you can easily add memory....but with the lap top...there is always the memory stick.

Prices - Since a laptop is using smaller pieces yet more hi-tech, it costs higher than a computer

Upgrades - it's better to buy a desktop computer than a laptop when you are a gamer/designer since you can upgrade it's graphics card

dont understand the ? but laptop is a laptop plain and simple. When I hear computer now days I think of desktop computer. In my opinion desktop computers suck cuz you cant move them. Where you put it, it where it is going to stay. Laptops are mobile can take them everywhere.
