Yes. I have moved my fingers over an object, and through that act, words have entered this space. That means that I moved, and you can see it, and that proves that I have moved. That means that I am animated. I have also made a bit of sense here. That proves that I moved of my own volition; I wasn't just pushed. That means that I am self-animated, and I am sentient and cognizant.

A plant is alive. I am just that much "more" alive. I can not only breathe, ingest, eliminate, reproduce--none of which can be proven here--but I can move, unlike a plant. I am not only alive, I'm moving aliveness, or you'd not see an answer to your question. I am a knowing being. And just for fun, taxonomically, I am
of the
Kingdom: animalia
Phylum: chordate
Subphyla: vertebrte
Class: mammal
Family: Hominidae
Order: Primate
Genus: Homo
Species: Sapien. And it's the sapien part you see on this page.... (for better or for worse, lol). Well, pushed onto this space by the Homo in the Hominidae.... Don't get silly, now!

(And, I have no fear that any pre-programmer would choose or care to write the way I do--lol--and besides, it would prove the programmer was alive, at some time, no? That person would become the "you" in your question.) And hey! All of this precludes any philosophy of illusion, of course....

I'm here answering your question...this proves that I exist as a being that can do something...

I cannot show you the proof that I am alive...I might just be a computer program, an A.I. without a soul given by God...for I cannot show my self to you.

But I also do not comprehend myself, on whether or not I am alive, for I am not living my life to the fullest...

Yet I exist here today, still trying to show myself and the world, that I am alive, that my very being makes a difference...

I only need to prove this to myself, and can do so by looking around me and acknowledge the registering of this event and experience of it in/with my consciousness.

I am however, unable to prove that you are alive at this moment in time and space--(grin)--however, you may have when and as you wrote this question.

Now, you may not, and after I send this message, I may cease to exist and be unable to prove that I am alive.

But both of us having written, has created (or recorded) an event, which is a point in time and space which is also a point of truth.

And as this/the record of this event is true, then the truth must be that something or someone had to exist in order to create this event in this point of time and space.

No,I could be dead, how could anyone prove they are alive just by having written an answer.Usually though thats enough to think that its written by someone(a person) whom is alive.

No, I can not .In fact I am certain I am no longer alive.I fill the space around me.I breath the air that fills my lungs, but know I can not prove I am alive and I will not try.

As you attempt to prove, with asking this question, that you are alive?

...you are the proof I attempt to need.

I must be alive because I can answer this question

Nope. I could be an AI program. Answering 1 question is almost impossible as a test to distinguish me from a living being.

That depends on what criterias you qualify as 'proof' and what you define to be alive.
