Old wifes tale about determining the sex of the baby???

Question

I have heard that there is something to do that can determine the sex of your baby. obviousely it isnt medically true etc. but more or less fun to see what it says and what it actually is! i cannot remember what it is called, im thinking something chinese or japanese. i believe it is something on the internet that you can do. i know im not explaining this very well, but if anyone out there has any clue to what i am talking about, please help me out! what is this called?? i'd like to find it and see what it says! Thanks in advance to everyone!!

I knew a woman years ago. She would take a woman's wedding ring and spin it on the table. Something in how it spin down or something, but, she could tell you how many children you would have and their sex in the order of birth. If, you already had children it still tell how many you had and sex.
So, let's say a woman is 50 years old and had two sons. She could tell this, AND, if the ring showed a girl, well, guess what? But, This an example. I just saying, if a woman thought she finished having children and the ring showed another child it would happen.
Was there a trick to this, I not know, but, it was very strange/interesting.

an ultrasound can tell you the sex of your baby. I don't rely on wives tales because all can't determine the sex of the baby. One old timer told me I was having twins, I had one thank God. maybe someone else knows a secret about predicting the sex of the baby. I like ultrasounds they are exact majority of the time.

if a pregnant woman looks much more blooming and beautiful than the time that she's not pregnant. the baby usually come out 100% girl. if a pregnant woman looks like less beautiful than before she got pregnant, and a darken armpit, 100% that the baby is a boy!
most filipino knows this kind of stuffs. and it absolutely convincing!

i havent heard about that 1 sorry. but i have heard that you can determine the sex of a baby by how fast the hairs on your legs grow..
fast growing= a boy
slow rowing = a girl..

Place a ring on a neckless and place it over the preggies stomach if it circles its a ? and if it goes back and forth its a ? I cant remember witch?

is it like a calendar thing?
I know they had one of when you concived or when you are due it tells you if it would be a boy or girl.

I know one wives tale that worked on me though and my whole family.
The Liqued drano one worked on guessing my first.
