Since he's arrived he's done nothing he had one good performance in the first game and since then England have failed to perform, considering some of these guys are getting paid more per week than you are likely to get in a year, you'd pretty much expect them to make a few goals against some of the lowly teams in there group.

The fact that he's bought Beckham back into his side has given him width going forward and a work horse which has been lacking.

But back to the question, Football is the national game and every Englishman is an armchair manager, needless to say that extends to the media, and when you have a poor run of results there's a limit. if they'd have failed to win last night it would have been almost surely curtains from the Euro finals which means curtains for Maclaren.

Personally its still not to late to bin him, he's a jub. He allowed personal issues to cloud his judgment over Beckham, he plays Gerard and Lampard both of which do the same job for there respective Premiership teams, so the mid field stands in the middle of the park doing sod all.
He's as much idea as my 12 yr old son.

see what i mean about armchair managers.

LoL i know it crazy

England did only beat Estonia who are one of the worst sides and then his jobs safe? Seems to me England will never be happy with the guy.

They will crumble against Croatia and Russia as they were actually very poor last night defending wise, and McClaren will no doubt need to leave the country
