3.4 is greater because there is 3 wholes nd 3/4 doesnt is just a decimal

or if it was a percentage, 3.4 would be 340%
nd 3/4 would be 75%

here's one,everybody says 3.4 is greater,but is 3.4 greater than 3/4 of a dollar.

3/4 is a fraction, less than one unit. 3/4 means that if you divide one unit (one pizza for example) into 4 parts then you have only 3 of those parts.
