my friend is having her birthday at a gigi's and she said there is gonna be a drag show.. are they fun?

I've been to drag shows and they are lots of fun and I have even dressed in drag myself for the birthday parties too.

They can be super-fun, depending on the quality of the performances (although sometimes the ones who are absolutely wretched can be the most fun to watch). Be prepared for some level of audience participation, including a bit of mocking. Most drag queens I know have a pretty fierce sense of humor. Also, it's considered good manners to tip good performers, so bring some ones along. Have fun!

I went to see a Les Girls (drag show) revue in St. Kilda, many years ago. It was a brilliant, funny show. Bawdy but not rude or crude, and I enjoyed every minute. Even my Husband did, once he got over a few prejudices!
I don't know of the one your going to, but am fairly sure that you'll enjoy yourself, as long as you take an open mind, and a fun attitude.

Oh, for sure! Lots of music and energy, and people in the audience tend to be lots of fun as well. It is amazing how well some "queens" look like the "real thing!" Have a great time!

Yes. There's a gay cabaret near here, and I go to their drag shows all the time. Some of the guys are sooooo talented, and I enjoy the creativity used in costume design.

oh hells yes, drag shows are so much fun. gay men dressed to the nine with wigs, makeup and tight little dress either singing or lipsyncing to good music is always fun. usually if you sit near the stage the performers will flirt with you while they sing.

I can answer both questions with a yes, I went to one because I was asked to participate in one for a charity. I have to say it was both kind of fun and very funy
