Seatle would have a really good team with Kobe, Odom and Rashard Lewis if they re-sign him. They would also have a pure point guard in Luke Ridnour. The Lakers would get a young star in Durant and another superstar in Ray Allen, who would help in the development in Durant. Durant and Bynum would be able to develop together to be a dynamic duo in the future. Plus Kobe wants out anyway. Do you guys think this trade would be a good one?

Nah, it would be a backward step for LA, and Kobe wouldn't want to go to a small market team, he like the spotlight too much. If anything I think they should bring in a guy like Jermaine O'Neal, a guy that can pitch in offensively, good rebounder and solid D.

No! Firstly, teams usually don't trade star players within their conference/division. Secondly, that's not a good trade for the Lakers because Kobe is wayyy better than Ray Allen and Lamar Odom is a proven player and has as much skills as Kevin Durant and Durant has not even played an NBA game. Kobe and Odom would beat Durant and Allen in a pickup game any day

I think the Lakers would sufer much if this trade would push through. Durant, although I think he's going to be special, is still untested in the NBA battle arenas. Ray Allen is a great player, but injuries prohibit him from playing in his usual numbers. Lamar and Kobe are steady forces (although Odom is another injury-plagued player). So weighing things the Sonics are the only ones on gaining end here.

sonics would be better but they would be just like the same lakers with kobe and odom running the team.
lakers would be worst but they would get better with young players durant, farmer and bynum together as those players will get better. lakers would become a good young team

its really hard to trade a sure thing for potential, which is what durant is. until durant actually puts up 20 ppg, he is still just potential. with kobe you know what youre getting. so i doubt LA does it.
