Ok ive asked this question many times but never really got an answer so..............I had a d and c almost 4 weeks ago and I still havent had my period yet. I've been having unprotected sex since 1 week after the surgery (yes i know its dumb so please dont remark on it) ive been having painful bloating and my breasts sometimes hurt really bad. I would appreciate any info on this.

Yes, you might be pregnant. You might have gotten pregnant before actually getting your period.

Everyone is going to tell you a different answer, so here goes. Not having your period could mean a wide variety of things. Having the signs and symptoms of post pregnancy will be with you for a while. Before your d-n-c your body was going thru many changes. Physically and hormonally. Not having your period may be because your hormones have not gotten back to normal. However, the doctor should have told you that sex is out of the question for six weeks at least. Your body needs time to heal. The pain your feeling could be from irritation because you haven't healed. Please be careful because instead of being pregnant again you could harm your self and never have children.

I'd see a doctor... It could be an infection by the sound of it.
You wont get that kind of bloating and breast pain on the first signs of pregnancy.... It almost sounds like you are just going to have a really late heavy period!

You should check to see if you're pregnant again because from my understanding after you have a D and C its a high risk of getting pregnant again. Painful bloating and your breasts hurting sounds like a sign of pregnancy.

Yes, you very well could be pregnant--I got pregnant 2 weeks after my d&c, before I ever got a period. Alot of dr.s say not to have sex until weeks after the procedure, my dr. told me getting pregnant right away would be no problem. I now have a healthy 2 month old daughter! Good luck to you

Go and check it out, I had a d & c done also and you can get pregnant pretty much straight away after the procedure. Sounds a trip to the doctors for a pregnancy test is on the cards. Good luck with this:-)

Your conditions could be due to the D&C and your body still getting back to normal. And being that pregnancy symptoms and period symptoms can be very similar it is difficult to say if you are pregnant or not. You may want to talk with your doctor.

You have had a major operation, so your periods are going to be irregular. Your body may still be under the impression that it is pregnant and not yet gotten back into sync.

yes you can be. I hope its what you want. I had a d&c 1 week ago, after a devastating miscarriage, and apparently you can ovulate as early a 12 days after your miscarriage.
