Illegal Aliens And The Media?

Whenever I see people (politicians, minute-men, patriotic white people) on the TV speaking against illegal aliens I immediately know that they are racists or "closet racists," meaning they are not willing to admit to their racist views.

How can they go on national television and say such awful things about one race and think they're correct? Why is the media even covering garbage like that? Will racism ever go away?

It doesn't upset me in anyway that people come here illegally. You people act like Mexico is empty because everyone is coming here. Get real.

I don't think it's a race issue.

Racism may go--or lessen-- away when people stop "playing the race card" in order to win a debate.

I have to differ with you on this, for my part. I am not racist, no way to prove that to you, but I am not. But I also don't believe in rewarding criminal behavior. And entering our country illegally makes them criminals who do not deserve special treatment for breaking the law. I just can't get past the word "illegal." It is what it is, and what it is, is wrong.

I think of our own country and I try to reverse the situation. Say our government was as corrupt as Mexico's is. Say the majority of us couldn't find work to feed our families. In fact, that was the case all over this nation in the Great Depression. But we didn't leave our country in droves and just walk into another country illegally, much less expect them to reward us for our behavior. We stayed here in our country because we love her and she needed fixing, so we got down to the business of fixing her. Why don't the people of Mexico feel that same patriotism for their own country? Why aren't there riots in the streets demanding change? Why do they instead come here illegally in such numbers that we have to adjust our entire system just to accommodate them? I don't get that, and I never will. I don't give a damn that they're Mexicans, I give a damn that they are here ILLEGALLY by the millions, and our nation ends up suffering and divided over what to do about it.

EDIT: I couldn't care less if Mexico is empty or full. I just know we're dealing with 12 million of THEIR citizens because their country sucks so bad they come here regardless of the law. Why doesn't it surprise me that you don't care if they are here illegally. The word "illegal" means nothing to you, obviously. Maybe you can tell me because lately I've been wondering - is there a comparative word for "illegal" in the Spanish language? If there is, it sure must mean something different than it does here.

There is a small minority that actually contribute to this country - the majority suck off of the system, defrauding the welfare system, stealing and robbing, raping and murdering, running drugs into this country and other felonies.

It is a proven fact traced through law enforcement and judiciary records.

So illegal aliens:
Dont cause wages to drop? (why would an employer hire an american when an illegal could do the job for $2 a day tax free... oops, that illegal injured himself... good think theres nothing linking him to this job.. his hand should just fall off, because we fired him!)
Dont cause crime? (i mean, the very first thing they do in this country is break our laws)
Dont bring diseases? (I mean, when i was born, i had all kinds of immunizations.. what exactly are illegal immigrants immunized from?)
So because they arent immunized.. or because we have no idea whos who, they arent paying taxes, they dont make enough for health insurance... why should the people paying for healthcare have to treat diseases all americans were immunized from? In other words, youre paying more for health insurance every year, because doctors have to treat illegals who werent immunized at birth for diseases you were already immune from. ******* brilliant!

So before you think everyone is just a racist, how bout you LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY.

What about when legal immigrants speak out against illegals? Are they racists too?

People who fail to distinguish between legal and illegal immigration don't know the difference between an invited guest in their home and a burglar. Pretty ignorant if you ask me.

While bigotry while almost definitely assure that a person will be against illegal immigration, there are many other reasons to be against illegal immigration.

HOMELAND SECURITY - At least two of those would-be airport terrorists came through the Mexican border ILLEGALLY.

DRUGS - The porous border enables drug trafficking.

CRIME - While most illegal immigrants are good hard working people, many criminals come in along side them.

What we need is to make the process of coming here LEGALLY easier & the process of coming here ILLEGALLY harder. Seal the borders & cut the red tape.

It is not about race, it is about being legal and paying taxes. One reason health insurance is so high is b/c illegals get their medical care in emergency rooms. They get public assistance (welfare, food stamps) while working under the table (not paying taxes). They bring themselves to AMerica without any medical history......they are bringing illnesses here that are dangerous (you won't hear about this on CNN).
Why should you and I work our A$$ off and pay a sh!t load for insurance , and pay for our childrens pediatric visits, while they get it for free? They take, take, take from the system but do not give back. Why should they be allowed to live off the taxes that you and I pay. The taxes that our parents pay.
What is wrong with them just coming here the right way...legally?? B/C they want a free ride.
