well what i would do is put a mirror or a top of some sort on so the fishes can look at themselves in the mirror and the flies cant get in.

First of all, buy a top for your tank. Measure the ring of the bowl. That should keep those pesty flies out, and get a scooper(sold at walmart and petshops) and scoop those dang bugs out!Some flies could carry sicknesses that could be life threatning to your fish!

Let your fish eat the flies. If you don't net them out and get a hood.

If the fish won;t eat them, net them out and cover the top of the tank.

empty the fish tank out, then put a semi-tight netting over the top of the tank. it might help....
