Maybe they played a version of "Rock, Paper, Scissors?" Was it like, "Hey dudes y'all hungry? What's that red thingy up there? Climb up there and eat it. If you die then we'll know not to eat that particular thingy again." ( ^ _ ^ ) I think God explained to Adam and Eve what they could and could not eat? Actually, Adam and Eve were vegans before they screwed everything up. I would image God telling them that in addition to eating vegetables they could munch on animals as well? That's my theory. What do you think?

Alot of their desicions had to do with watching what the animals would eat and wouldn't eat. Of course, it didn't work all the time, but it gave them a pretty good idea.

In line with islamic teaching as stated in the holy Qur'an God had given knowledgw of this earth to Adamand Eve before God dropped them to this world.Adam knew well the names of things, animals, trees etc which can be found in this world.God instructed satans and jinn to bow to Adam and Eve but they did not want to.Satans told God that they were created from fire while Adam from only a bit of soil.Satans until now are conceit and they always try to temptate humans for bad doings.Besides that our ancestors knew which foods, leaves and fruits that can be eaten without poisoning themselves by looking to the animals9monkeys,birds etc) eating something and also by trying to taste a little bit of them.

They probably didn't. There was a lot of trial an error in those days.

At one time the tomato was considered one of the most forbidden fruits on the planet. Can you imagine not eating a tomato? That would seem very strange to me today.
