when you live in a bad area of town?
like tagging everywhere, no street lights, constant police and murders, violence, and trash everywhere? I can't even walk down the street without someone claiming the street. the worst part is people think i'm involved with it whne i tell them where I live.

If things are that bad, you need to move. If you can't afford to, get a better job. If you can't do that go back to school. You need to overcome your obstacles instead of complain about them.

Edit: Ok, well you have a few years until you can make a move. My suggestion would be to keep to myself, stay out of trouble and focus on my studies. Positive distractions may make living there less miserable. Good luck hon.

I can identify with ya.
There's graffiti everywhere, from cars down to the freakin' trees. There's tons of kids and they are always bustin' out the windows of the bus shelters.
The police are forever patrolling around the neighborhood and no ones car is safe from car jackers.
I can't wait til I can move out of this hell hole.

It does suck swine nose...But do your best to exceed everyone's expectations of you. Keep a high GPA. Go to college and work your tucas off to keep a high GPA. PROVE that you are a diamond in the rough and to kids that are growing up in the same environment as you, that they can be better than what they are seeing everyday.
Best of blessings to you. This will make you a stronger woman and a GREAT example.

Yes, it does suck. I myself have been it that situation. Work at it and you can persevere. I now live in a decent area and own a home. It takes work but can be done.
