I am a dental assistant and at work we use several chemicals and bleach is one of them and we had a spill in a room i was working in today and the smell of bleach was very strong I had a mask on but it was still pretty bad. I am worried that it will harm my baby, i called my Dr but I had to leave a message and I haven't heard anything yet.

It's ok to clean with bleach when pregnant, just make sure you have good ventilation where you'll be working, and use gloves to avoid getting the cleaning products on your skin.

If any fumes make you feel nauseated, get someone else to do the cleaning.

Or you can water down the bleach so the smell is not so strong.

You should be okay. I know that there are a lot of women who are hairstylists or cleaning ladies who breathe in bleach all day long at work. It is probably not the healthiest thing to be breathing it in for anyone even if you are not pregnant but the baby should be fine.
