they dont know them!! all they know is what the media says and the media is mostly lies!! why does everybody hate celebrities that they have never even met before? how would you feel being hated by people who dont even know you?

ok so youve never blamed something on somebody else? seriously, they are just real people who the media are all over. and the reason it is ok to not like paris hilton is because she is in jail and that has nothing to do with the media, she actually did something bad

OMG I KNOW!! I couldn't imagine being a celeberty! b/c everyday people they don't even KNOW are judging them and criticing them. They have never even met them!
People just follow what the media says even tho half the time the media streches the truth and their is no facts what so ever. If you read an article in a magazine about a celberty...see and try to find something that is a fact not just an opinion. people these days.....lol

I don't mind people hating celebrities. Some are just downright annoying. Some people just rub you the wrong way.
And I agree that people take it way too far. It's true that we don't know anything about them. I dislike Colin Farrell. I've never met him and he's probably a nice person in real life, but as someone who has never met him, he just rubs me the wrong way.
But I think it's stupid for people to read gossip blogs or National Ledger and think everything they read is real. Stuff like "Angelina is calling Jennifer to stay away from Brad!" LOL. When people believe that stuff as the reason they hate a celebrity, then that's a little disturbing and idiotic.
I do feel sorry for Lindsay Lohan, though. I would never put her in the same category as Paris Hilton. I think Lindsay, from her public persona atleast, is self-destructive, but I don't think she's mean and abusive to other people, like Paris Hilton seems to be.

Quite frankly, if they can't act responsibly or put together a sentence ..... and are arrogant, rude, doing drugs/abusing alcohol and just obnoxious (and then complain about their legal sentences (you know, that spoiled brat Paris Hilton complaining about the number of blankets == if she was any other prisoner, then the total number would be .... ONE!) ...
These celebrities need to be QUIET! And ... let's also go so far as to say that most folks don't care what these nutcases do to destroy their lives -- we just DO NOT WANT TO HEAR through the news media what they are doing all the time!

Yea, but it's kinda obvious how some celebrities are...i mean look at lindsay lohan and paris hilton...in rehab and jail. How are we not supposed to hate them, it's impossible

I don't hate anyone, but it would sure be nice if more celebrities took responsibility for their actions and took their role-model status with a little more class and maturity.
I think the reason so many people like to hate them is because, in many ways, you have to be rather self-absorbed and vain to be a celebrity. Nobody likes a a vain, self-absorbed person no matter who they are.

So its ok to hate Lindsay and Paris, when we don't know them? I have a lot of disdain for Hellywood as they have no morals. You say I don't "know" them, but their way of life and how they act speaks volumes.

If they would keep themselves from looking for attention, people wouldn't hate them so much. Also, whenever they get in trouble, they'll blame anyone or anything, but themselves.
