?????. I've never seen the movie.
I just attended a Bachelorette service for my daughter and enjoyed the music...one song used the term.

GREED.
The amount of greed in our society astounds me, the excess, and elaborateness that is paraded about in a world where almost anyone of us could leave our homes and come in contact with a homeless person, in what a 20, 30, minute drive??
That astounds me.
That no one feels as if he (or she) is his brothers keeper, that is sadly astounding to me.
That's the negative one.
On a more positive note: I find genuine kindness, and little acts of unconditional love still being carried out on a daily basis by the average Joe-Schmo to be astounding. I saw a little boy give his tennis shoes away, one day last week at the swimming pool, he gave them to a little boy who was standing outside of the swimming pool grounds hoping from one foot to the other because the asphalt was so hot. He obviously didn't have the means to come to the pool, he just wanted to "watch" the other children, and this wonderful young man, maybe 9 years old took him his tennis shoes, and handed them to him through the fence. When his friends commented about it, he just shrugged and said "he needed some shoes" BEAUTIFUL........................

I find it astounding that Yahoo! Answers has grown into this amazing setting for gowth from friendships, knowledge and sharing. I find it astounding that this huge number of people not only from around the country but from around the world gravitate here daily and spend so much of their free time here because it feels so welcoming...... so safe....... so right. I find it astonding that we each logged on with no concept of what this place would be and now can't remember what it was like before. I find it astounding that after more than a year and a half....... we still have barely scratched the surface of all of the millions of questions to be asked in our lifetime. I find just being here............ astounding. :)

I'm with Brisk on this one JC. But also, I find it astounding that people can be so very cruel to each other and often for no reason other than they can. Hatred, bigotry, ignorance. Whatever happened to love thy neighbor as yourself?
Sidenote....I'm simply astounded every time I read something 'sentimental' that you have written my friend.

curiously. finales are the movements that have given composers the main hardship. looking a passable thank you to sum-up a symphonic artwork isn't hardship-free and, satirically, the single you published - that of Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony is a working occasion. it incredibly is totally susceptible musically and structurally and has better than its honest share of 'padding'. Tchaikovsky himself regarded its shortcomings - and of his warfare to jot down satisfactoty very final movements frequently. plenty extra effectual than the 5th, is Tchaikovsky's finale to the 4th Symphony - incredibly as taken a wreck-neck velocity because it is interior the 1st link under. the comparable forces doing the final stream of Shostakkovich's 5th is tremendously exhilarating too (2d link). The 'compelled' optimism at 8:fifty 8 to the tip is very finely executed right here ("ok, Mr Stalin - you desire us to have fun? So we will delight in fake smiles on our faces!"). Ahh, we will in no way pay attention that notably Russian sound ever returned. final in my Svetlanov-fest is the finale of Shostakovich's sixth - a sort of gruesome burlesque with tongue fastened firmly in cheek. I even have continually enjoyed the finale to prokofiev's little-heard (and truthfully under-liked) third Symphony. The Dutoit overall performance on the 4th link is extremely stable. pay attention it by way of to the tip because of the fact the previous few chords are remarkable. My very final determination is the ultimate section to Varèse's 'Amériques' - quite between the loudest, maximum hair-elevating and exhilarating ends to any piece!
