Please HELP me find a business topic for research paper.?
I am doing a research project in my business communication course. The topic can be on just about anything as long as it relates to business somehow. Please be creative and help me out with finding a new topic. The best topic that I came up with so far is, the effects of transfat ban in fast food resturants. If you can provide me with any source that would be huge. Thanks!

If I were you, I would choose a topic that is relatively unknown in the general public, but has a lot of research available. One such topic would be "Cause Related Marketing - Beneficial or Harmful?" If you do a google or Yahoo! search, you will find a ton of articles on CRM, but it is a relatively new business venture, first defined in the mid 80's by American Express. Basically it is a for profit organization partnering with a nonprofit organization with mutual goals of benefiting both the company and the cause. Why not write a paper about how marketing affects buyer's preferences? what I mean is ...consider how news or annual reports affect consumer preferences.

Think about the marketing efforts of lets say Taco Bell or KFC given they are owned by Pepsi (with significant resources)...versus the negative publicity generated by certain foods provided at other places (high carbohydrate or high fat foods). Think about Subway's latest efforts to market healthy choices. Or perhaps Mc Donald's catering to the hispanic customer with their Latin flavor salads....
