Has nothing to do with Liberals , it's the young whipper snappers who are the editors , who only know the gulf war and the current war, D day is ancient history and they've never studied it anywhere.
My dad enlisted in the military shortly after D day, my mum and he were married on june 24/44. Sixty three years if they'd both been alive this year.

Yep. Libs would be calling Operation Overlord a catostrophic failure, if they had CNN then. They also would have taken a few polls to get the pulse of the country. The Dems of today would have cut a deal with Hitler faster than he could say bratwurst. FDR, even though he was a Dem, he had balls to face evil.

"The Dems of today would have cut a deal with Hitler faster than he could say bratwurst. "
***********************************************************************************
What's funnier is that THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OF TODAY, realizing the global threat of Hitler's Third Reich, would have promptly sent our fighting forces out to face the Nazi "evil-doers" in their "Idealogical Homeland"........BARBADOS....... ;-)
Since comedy is obviously only our side-jobs, let's just deal with the reality. Democratic Presidents Hoover and Roosevelt led this country to VICTORIOUS conclusions in the two World Wars while the last REPUBLICAN to make that claim was .....Abe LINCOLN....who defeated .....some other ....AMEri...cans.....Of course, I'M HAPPY with the Lincoln results................damned, ......I'm happy....
And hell "NO", I won't count that "Lunch-time" ************ that Reagan put on .....(snicker) .....GRENADA, the other....... Evil Empire...........Three days on the beach--- kicking tail between volleyball games.......isn't EXACTLY ....war....... (muhaaaaaaaaaaa).....

No, we remember the sacrifice of our brave soldiers who fought against a foe who wanted to and had the ability to destroy us.
We also note the sacrifice of today's brave soldiers who are dying for no apparent reason other than the hubris of our president.

IF DAN RATHER HAD BEEN ALIVE ON JUNE 6, 1941......
"Today thousands of US soldiers INVADED France to engage German forces, killing thousands of marine mammals and over 60 French civilians, even though it was Japan who was directly responsible for the Pearl Harbor attacks."

I seem to remember that the Nazis where the invaders.
Who is the invader in Iraq?
Who is the empire builder. Who wants to force their government system down another peoples throats?
Who is Hitler in this case? Who has tried to destroy constitutional rights at every turn?
I can't wait for the day that Mr. Taterhead declares marshall law over some hurricane and declares himself decider for the world. I suppose the cons will celebrate their complete lose of freedom.

yea, of course today's press would have been reporting how bad the war is going and that we should pull out. Oh, and CNN would show Nazi snipers shooting American soldiers.

Did you go through the whole day not realizing how much of a jackass you are, or have you just decided to embrace it?

Hmmm, yeah - and it's no coincidence that their collective memories only go back to '63, is it? Everything else is ancient history and irrelevant. Except for the slaves, of course! And our invasions of Cuba and the Philippines. And a few other odd and sundry events that they so enjoy FEELING BAD about. A pretty sick crowd, that group of Weak Sisters is!
