I don't know where he'll go. If I had to guess, I'd say maybe the Jags or even the Falcons, with the Jags being more likely.
I think these teams are most likely for two main reasons-
1. Both teams are having issues with the QB position. Jags are clearly not happy with Leftwich's performance, but letting Garrard start last year did not exactly pan out either. And who knows what is going to happen in Atlanta with Vick's dog fighting situation? (We may be seeing another starting competition between Harrington and Culpepper)
2. These teams are both in the south. Culpepper wants to stay in Miami, as that is his home town. If he can't, he will want to stay as close as possible. Culpepper is his own agent, so he actually has a lot of say in where he goes.
What I do know for sure is that he will not go to Green Bay OR Houston.
Green Bay's GM Ted Thompson is a notoriously fickle spender. He will not want to lay out enough money just to have Culpepper sit on the bench, especially with first round investment Aaron Rogers waiting to take the lead. Also, Green Bay is about as far as it gets from South Florida, both in distance and climate.
Houston has just made a huge commitment to Schaub, so they clearly want to stick with him. It would not be worth it to get Culpepper, even if he would serve as a form of insurance. Besides, he can't move well at all anymore. Do you really think he could stay upright behind Houston's O-Line when Carr could"nt?

Duante Culpepper will more than likely hit the waiver wire than get traded to another team.
I would be completely shocked if the Jacksonville Jaguars pony up for him. While Jack Del Rio may not be satisfied with his quarterbacks right now there is good competition there (even 3rd stringer Quinn Gray is providing good competition). Culpepper is not completely healthy yet: he carries a $5.5 million cap hit: he is 30 years old: last but not least he has performed much worse than any of the Jaguars 3 quarterbacks. If you look at the Jaguars roster they are more inclined to take young guys because football is a young man's game.
I doubt the Texans would pick him up because this is now Matt Schaub's team. They gave up too much to get him from the Falcon's, and bringing in Culpepper for competition would undermine Schaub's leadership of the team. IF Culpepper managed to win the starting job in Houston (it would be a miracle) the Texans would have given up a fortune for a backup. That would make the GM look like an idiot, and I don't think they would risk it.
My bet is that he might sit this year recovering and try to resume his career in 2008.
Culpepper is destined to finish his career as a stop gap solution or backup.

Although Texans management would never admit defeat even before they started the 2007-8 campaign, Houston ought to put a chip or two on Daunte and take the gamble. Brace up both his knees and make him a pure pocket passer and he's got to be better than ALL 3 of the current Houston Texans signal callers. Matt Schaub is 84/161 passing for his freaking career for just over 1,000; Sage Rosenfels? Are you kidding me? - again, lifetime stats at about same as Schaub's. The #3 QB is Bradlee Van Pelt....who? Exactly. Daunte at a 3 is worth the rehab, scheming (protection), and risk in Kubiak's offense...or he could be, but management will NEVER admit the mistake due to their large investment....errrrr risk in signing Schaub so they're stuck with him. If you're worried about pass protection, they picked up a couple of nice guards in the draft. Someone taking a gamble on Daunte might just get a pleasant surprise. Dude is only 8 years in, still has the rocket arm, does have a 90+ career QB rating, over 21,000 passing yards, over 64% completion CAREER if ya need him, gimp knee or not. I'd LOVE to see the Texans take a gamble with him, especially since they passed on Vince Young AND Reggie Bush for lemme see....what was his name again??? Maybe that's another Yahoo question. :-)

That wouldnt happen because they already invested ALOT in Schaub!...to answer your question I think the Lions they have a QB for the season just enough to get by until Culpepper is "100%" he is in the bargain bend right now so why not take a chance on him! The Lions would have good deep recievers to get the ball to(Culpepper is a deep thrower) I think that would be a perfect fit...If not the Lions than the Bears!

I enjoyed Daunte very precise, yet he's not too bright. If he could stay healthy i think of of he nonetheless has some thing left. the reason Daunte Culpepper isn't on an NFL roster proper now, is via using the fact his agent is a moron. His agent is Daunte Culpepper.

Culpepper going to Green Bay sounds like a real possibility. Farve is past his prime by far and is or should be done. Aaron Rodgers is going to be okay, but not good enough. Culpepper is a extemely good athlete despite the injuries, so why not let Farve have his last days as quarterback and then let Culpepper and Rodgers battle. Heck, bring in a third QB to contend. Thats sounds realistic to me, and it would upset Minnesota pretty good.

Traded? What team in their right minds would trade for Culpepper? He's done. Miami will release him out right and some team might sign him at the league minimum.

It's possible that he goes to Oakland as sort of a stand in mentor to JaMarcus Russell (Russell is very very similar to Culpepper). It's also possible that he goes back to the Minnesota Vikings. There QB situation is questionable, and the Dolphins would probably not be asking for much.

Trading for Culpepper is a desperation move, he's going to the Raiders for a second round pick.

Hes not going to be released because he has a year left on his contract and i believe he is owed 5 million ( Dont quote me on that). The dolphins wont just cut a pontental franchise q.b. they would want to be compensated for it... Likely destinations would be Green Bay due to Favre leaving soon and the fact that they have absolutely no confidence in Aaron Rodgers, Minnesota would not be a bad choice because they dont have a veteran q.b with game experience just garbage time. The most likely destination probably would be Buffalo, outside of J.P. Losman they dont have a quarterback and could use a veteran, Also the bills are atleast 10 mill under the salaray cap and would be more then willing to send a fourth round pick to miami for Culpepper.
